I know I'm part of the problem because I've not even tried, but there's probably a domino effect there.

Is there any push to make the forums active again?
    • Have you identified the forums are pretty much dead?
    • Has any advertising budget been discussed?
    • Is there any plan to get new users to join and pull back existing users?
Does 1imPunter1imPunter still "run" these forums? Where is he at?

    1) Yes it's clear the forums are pretty much dead. Also because nobody seems to really want to continue develop games or participate in any project.
    2) Sorry I don't really want personally to invest money into the forums. And I doubt 1imPunter1imPunter has a budget for it
    3) No there isn't. Any idea?
    4) He's the owner yes. Where is he? No clues.

    Forums are dead.
I'm looking to get into mobile game development with the help of Xamarin, but I've a lot of other things are keeping me busy as it is

I would personally maybe invest more into cordova than xamarin. While I fully love C# I don't trust it for apps development. Also I would say that in most cases a well done website which works for mobiles is better than an app. Why? Because I personally install nearly no apps on my phone.

Xamarin can make hybrid apps. I have used cordova and phonegap for some time. it has lots of modules u can install. but often not what I needed. and making your own would be the need of using java and c++.
with xamarin that part is a bit easier. I hate it thought that it takes up 6gb.

Haven't been here in like two months, mostly because it was already low on posts before. Checked back out of curiosity just now, like 5 new threads. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

heheh it was mostly a few ppl posting and @1mPunter always had some kind of mailing to get new ppl to join. now that he is no longer doing that. it was just a handfull of ppl.
and most with busy lives. and at some times at the same time and then it gets lonely here.

if a_bertranda_bertrand was not posing his gamemaker post it might have been worst. I would say cleanup the forum. see what everyone that is active is doing. make subforums that are interesting and based on what those ppl are doing.
Maybe give a weekly update what ur working on (if u can share it) like how a_bertranda_bertrand was doing. and hope we get some higher ranking on search engines
